From the beginning of the 19th century bracelets decorated with coral became very popular. People also started to wear larger and several bracelets at the same time. Trend: Catching the eye.

In the beginning of the 20th century women started to wear dresses without sleeves. In those days it was stylish to wear bracelets around the upper arm. These bracelets were decorated with diamonds and other precious stones. Later on in the 20th century the manufacture techniques of bracelets were developed. Bracelets could me made in various different ways, so that all people could wear them. Until then, bracelets were mainly for the elite.
